ABOUT

Hear It From Me

I am a philosopher: someone who knows less and less about more and more until they know nothing about everything - Socrates.

I am Devon Bailey, a young, married, first-time mom pursuing her PhD in the Philosophy of Dance at the University of Johannesburg. I am also a kingdom custodian who is actively involved in ministry – from being on the praise and worship team at Teleios church to developing a children’s ministry curriculum. I am also the academic director for Urban Jam School of Dance. I am passionate about dance, philosophy, education, teaching and learning, Hip Hop culture, and breaking chains of mental slavery.

This blog serves as a platform for me to share my thoughts, experiences, struggles and passions on topics varying from relationships (romantic and otherwise), parenting, marriage, academia, and ministry; to art, dance, education, societal stereotypes, and more. I am hoping that by sharing my views, you will share yours, and that we can engage in healthy, empowering debate, conversation, and counsel on matters that we may or may not know much about.
